Once the money has been paid out to the person you designated as your receiver, it will no longer be possible to cancel your transfer or obtain a refund. If you need to cancel or modify a pending transaction, please make sure to call as soon as possible MoneyTrans or the local agent through which you initiated it.

MoneyTrans offers a simple, reliable and speedy way to send money throughout the world. Unfortunately, it has happened in the past that our service was used by people engaged in fraudulent activities aimed at tricking or stealing from actual customers.

Therefore, we invite you to be very suspicious if you receive the following:

• A phone call telling you that you have won money or a prize and that you need to send money to pay for taxes, customs fees, etc.
• A response to your newspaper add posted to report a lost pet or personal item, as fraud perpetrators are known to use such classified adds to contact people, by stating that they have found the lost item while claiming a financial compensation or reward before returning it to their owner, while in reality they have not found the items in question.
• An email that appears to be from MoneyTrans, regardless of how it is structured. Indeed, contrary to the practice of some Internet-based service providers, we NEVER send confirmation emails to our clients to inform them that they have received a transfer by MoneyTrans aimed e.g. at paying an Internet purchase.

Here are some ways you can protect yourself:

• Buying items on the Internet. Be very careful if you send money to pay for items purchased online. Many online sellers or Internet auction sites provide secured payment schemes that offer greater protection for both the buyer and the seller.
• Payment of remote services. Make sure you gather enough information about the seller before you decide to send money in response to a newspaper or magazine add promoting on-line airline, concert or similar ticketing services. The same applies to loan offers of credit cards facilities for which you will be asked to send money to settle fees before signing the contract. Also be suspicious of very cheap deals. MoneyTrans cannot ensure that the goods or services you are paying for will be delivered, as it exceeds our area of competence, which is ensuring that the money reaches your designated receiver.
